District Update

  • Monday, November 21, 2022 - Early Dismissal for Students: Evening Conferences MB and RWK (6:00-8:30)
  • Tuesday, November 22, 2022 - Early Dismissal for Students: Afternoon Conferences MB (1:00-3:15) and RWK (12:45-3:00)
  • Wednesday, November 23, 2022 - Early Dismissal for Students and Staff
  • Thursday, November 24, 2022 - Thanksgiving Holiday, NO SCHOOL
  • Friday, November 25, 2022 - Thanksgiving Holiday, NO SCHOOL

Teacher of the Year Nominations

It is that time of year again.  The Google Form application period will remain open until Monday, November 28, 2022.  The committee will select the new Educator of the Year and it will be announced before winter break!  All nominations will be reviewed and evaluated independently by the committee, made up of school administrators, the past two recipients and an office of the PTO.


Residency Update

Families in Kindergarten, Third and Sixth grade are asked to provide documentation to prove residency.  Please refer to the letter that was shared with you via mail and previous district updates.  Deadline to submit paperwork is December 1, 2022.  We have the best success when families email all the documentation to: [email protected]  Thank you for all the families who have already submitted their documentation.

Preschool Update

  • Preschool teachers are excited to host Parent/Guardian - Teacher Conferences. See the information below for next week’s schedule:
    • Parent/ Guardian - Teacher Conferences
      • November 21, 2022: 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
      • November 22, 2022: 1:15 p.m.- 3:15 p.m.
  • The Preschool Team is in search of Community Helpers.  Please click the link to see more information:  Community Helpers
  • The Preschool Team wants to help families in supporting children’s developmental needs while at school and at home.  To do this, the Team will be sending out helpful handouts from the “Backpack Connection Series” twice a month.  Please click the link for more information on this week’s topic.   • Flu shots are due no later than 1/3/2023.  If the District does not receive this documentation, it will result in an exclusion of your child from school on 1/3/23. Please send documentation of your child's flu shot vaccine to their school nurse as soon as they receive their shot.  For Mary Bray preschool students, please contact Tracy Heckers at 856-931-7807 ext. 6058 and for Kershaw preschool students, please contact Abby Knox at 856-931-7807 ext. 6063.
  • On November 15th and 17th Preschool families were invited to take a nature walk with our classrooms and participate in a scavenger hunt that related to the students' Units of Study, Trees and Signs.  The scavenger hunt also focused on Road Safety. A special thank you to Detective Sergeant Sullivan and the Mount Ephraim Police Department for supporting our preschool students!

  • The preschool team is always looking for dedicated preschool parent volunteers to serve on the Mount Ephraim Early Childhood Advisory Council during the 2022-2023 school year! Our first meeting was a success and many great ideas were shared!     • The 8th Grade Dinner Dance is sponsoring a Poinsettia Fundraiser. Raymond W. Kershaw Update

  • 8th Grade Families:  You will NOT need to purchase a yearbook!  The Dinner Dance Committee has graciously volunteered to cover the cost of each 8th grader's yearbook!

  • Audubon High School is hosting a FALL OPEN HOUSE, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.  From Mr. McMichael, AHS Assistant Principal of School Counseling, “We hope that it will be a great opportunity for your students to learn about everything AHS has to offer. Attendees will hear about academic offerings, and they will have a chance to meet coaches, advisors, and students to discuss extracurricular activities. This will also be a great opportunity for future Audubon students to tour the building.”
  • Audubon Jr./Sr. High School Counseling office has published their second newsletter of the year.  They will share them with us throughout the year and I will link them in the district update each time.  Please see the 2nd edition.
  • Raymond W. Kershaw make up picture day is December 15, 2022
  • RWK teachers are excited to host Parent/Guardian WALK IN conferences (No appointment necessary).  Please plan on attending during one of the time periods listed below.  All families are invited to attend any of the following days, but teachers may be contacting you to schedule a specific time.
